Truth Be Told Thursday

I like to nibble on: Granola. it's yummy. and baby feet...not to actually eat, they are just so cute! {wish there was one OUT so I could do that!}

I played a lot of: M*A*S*H growing up. remember that game? you chose 5 potential husbands, houses, cars, # of kids or something. did the whole game {counted down and eliminated} and in the end got to figure out which one you would end up with in the future. lol. so silly!

I'm proud of: {and very thankful for...} my accomplishments. my family. my degree in ultrasound. my husband. my talents. the restored gospel of jesus christ & the truthfullness of it. {but saying all these things that i'm proud of makes me cringe a bit...not trying to boast or to be prideful....just saying :)}

I don't believe in: 1. abortion being used as a form of birth control. my opinion. 

2. old wives tales. or i'd have a baby in my arms right now, not still cooking.

Just waiting.....

Today is the estimated due date by my first ultrasound.

I'm still preggo.

I'm large, uncomfortable and ready.

but I guess baby girl needs more cooking time. the 21st is my due date by my lmp, so maybe by then....who knows! I'm so impatient as is.

Now we just wait.

I'm trying to remain calm. trying not to get all sad & depressed that she hasn't come yet. it's hard. everyone wants her here. everyone wants to see what she looks like. everyone is anxious and excited. everyone is waiting.....and waiting. I feel bad for making them wait. Almost feeling like a faiure for not delivering yet....{sigh}....but she will come, eventually. lol.

I have bananas that are ready to be used for bread or something....they won't get baked. dinner won't get made again tonight. my laundry won't get done today. my bathroom trash wont get taken out, or the bathroom cleaned. k's room won't get a deep cleaning for visitors....

I have no energy to do anything.

NONE.

i want to lay on this couch all.day.long.

but i can't. and it makes me sad. lol.

I'm up every 20 mins to help k go potty, get her water, help her with something....

i feel bad for her....she wants to go on a walk, but i just can't today.

maybe tomrrow.....

we'll see :)



Truth be told Thursday #9

It has been a while since this has been posted....for some reason when Thursday comes, I completely zone out anything that's supposed to be done. weird. This week, I had NO clue it was even Thursday!!?!? whateves. a bit late. better late than never, right? I blame my cookie making spree this past week. lol

So here it is....

Truth be Told....

Everyday for lunch I could go to: da pineapple grill. they have sushi. I LOVE sushi. I might get tired of it, but there are SO many different kinds. it is NOT good on the wallet....and waistline--depends on what you get--or how much you get! it's just yummy!! I really really really want some now.....hmmmm maybe I can convince my hubs for it for our last date night before baby comes!

I hope I never have to: have a c-section...or any other major surgery. bury a child {my heart goes out to those who have}. watch somebody get shot or stabbed or some other violent action. file for bankruptcy. go to jail. turn my husband into the police for something....lol {highly unlikely-just thought I would lighten the mood a bit}

When someone says "stretch pants" I think of: fat pants. ones that are supposed to hide your fattiness, but in reality....make you look even fatter. does that make sense?!?

A great hiding spot is: in the oven. no one ever looks in there. I wouldn't recommend it for people, just for inanimate objects...like presents or something. You also just can't go and forget it and turn the oven on....that would be bad.

ok everyone.....
what day do YOU predict baby girl will be here?? {due 19th or 21st, depends. K was 11 days late}
and a weight/length {k was 6 lbs 12.5 oz and 18.5 inches long}
maybe we will do some prizes for the closest {without going over :)}

ugh....I look like a hippo

bigger than all the other girls in my ward due at the same time.

but whatevs...this is my second

How far along? 39weeks!!! WOW can you believe it? 

Total weight gain: less than 40 :) good for me...i've had less swelling than with k too

Maternity clothes? of course! Some of those don't even fit! lol. shirts don't cover the belly either. 

Stretch marks? no comment. LOL. 

Sleep: I am tired all.the.time. up all the time. 

Best moment this week: making this apple caramel cake from duncan hines. seriously?!?!? best box cake mix ever!!! this family ate 1/2 a 13x9 pan yesterday.

Miss Anything? being comfortable :)

Movement: yep! lots and lots. she loves to push her butt out way far and I look like a torpedo...or really, really lopsided. lol.

Food cravings: meatballs. weird. i know. but i'm a bit too sick to really want anything to do with food.

Anything making you queasy or sick: being thirsty. being too hot. just overall yucky anyways

Gender: Girl....no name set yet either. drew: we still have time.....uhhhh really?

Labor Signs: {tmi} yep....lots of contractions. daily. can't even walk to the kitchen without them. belly is hard a lot. but nothing to go in for. mucous plus is partially gone. 2 cm & 80% as of this past wed.

Symptoms: Pubis symphysis pain...... I still wake every 3 hours to pee/roll over because my hip hurts that bad.....I sweat like a old fat man in the summer {sorry for that, don't be offended}....HOT.....thirsty like crazy......pelvic pain/hip pain gets worse the more I do {like the more cooking/baking I do in the kitchen-weird} 

Belly Button in or out? In but getting a bit flatter 

Wedding rings on or off? Off :( I had too....they were leaving dents. dang swelling!! go away!

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Mostly happy. just tired and hurting.

Looking forward to: seeing what this baby is going to look like!! I think she will have drew's dark hair and eyes. his mouth. my nose. mostly just look like him. I hope she has a ton of hair --but she probably won't. he didn't, k didn't, i didn't. but we will see!!

Saturday's relief society activity...I'm trying to hold out until after that!

Meatballs

about 4 years ago I made some YUMMY meatballs and spaghetti sauce.

I am talking....so super legit that you couldn't get better at a restaurant.

I didn't really use 1 particular recipe

just combined a few recipes, and took some tips from people I worked with

and it was amazing

of course.....

I really want meatballs

and I have failed making them. ugh.

I should have wrote that recipe down!

Have you ever done that?

it's just like when you see/read something online and then want to go back to it and you didn't bookmark or pin it!

dang!

now, I have no energy to make them myself again

maybe I will send hubs out to frontier pies for some good 'ol "homemade" meatballs.

if I had the digestional capacity to actually eat anything....

another joy of the end of pregnancy....my belly aches. hurts. it's no fun at all.

So, I've gone into labor-mode and will eat less & more of some easily digestable foods....lots of jello, applesauce, toast....you know....i'm sure there's more, but I can't think anymore....

hoping no baby this week....I have to make 2 cookie doughs {depending on my energy, might be done on 2 separate days}, which then need to be refrigerated overnight, before I can roll them out and bake them for our Relief Society activiy on Saturday.

Gotta hold out until then.....

I'm trying.

Then my mom comes on the 21st

she would like to be here when I go into labor....but I don't know if I can make it that long. just saying.

I will try for her, but if baby girl wants to come after Saturday....I will be ready :)

St. Patty's Day Decor

Yayyy for getting all set and decorated for St. Patrick's Day.....on the first day of the month!

I'm on a ball!!

All of these projects are done with paper, a little glue, some ribbon, and the trusty cricuit.....

ok, it was more time consuming than I thought. 

Took about 2 days. but I have an active 2-year old and an uncomfortable 9 mo. body that can only sit at my "craft table" {dining table} for short periods.

First, I started off with my banner. 

I used cardstock to make the base, cut it out using Birthday Bash @ 4" {I only had 2 sheets of 12x12 paper and had to use all the space I could} it's nice, because it cuts out the holes for you!

The scallop circle is really cute Hambly paper {really old, I haven't bought paper in years, actually :)} they are cut at 3"

and then a whole 6x12 sheet of 1" hearts. {from George and basic shapes} 

That is a lot of hearts!! 

I got the idea from here. She has some super cute stuff {always}

Her's is much bigger. Probably took less time. {I had to ink the edges of all those little hearts!--talk about hand cramp}

And....I used 4 leaves....for a 4-leaf clover! {should be luckier, right?}

Then I used $ more peices of paper to make this "Lucky {in love}" sign

The "Lucky" was cut out of my cricuit....a bird's nest....?? size 5.5

the rest are much smaller - like an inch but then 2" for the love.

It's free and comes in 2 different colors and has 2 designs on the side. 

I trimmed mine down and put more paper around it....

I am to preggo to worry about finding a frame for everything. 

I put them all in storage {of course....That was when I thought we were moving and was just tired of stuff being out. lol.

Except this frame. 

super cheap one, i know. and i don't care... ;)

It had a pic of my super cute nephew and daughter. you can't just put that away....but you can temporarily cover it! lol.

I change it all around everyday.

I was going to put a piece of art from K on there too...but it got ruined :/ {no comment!}

Now we are all decorated for this baby to come. 

I'm thinking that the 17th will be a good day for her to come.....what do you think??

I'm due the 19th by sono and the 21st by lmp.

I went 11 days overdue with K....

I am already having lots of contractions that I barely had with K.

I've started taking my red raspberry leaf tea to help with labor. 

Not going to start with any induction "wives tales" until after the 17th

that will be fun!!

Easy no-bake key lime pie

So, I got this recipe from my grandma years and years ago

I am now going to share it with you all {hopefully, that's ok. lol}

I don't know where she got it, so don't ask....It might be somewhere else on the internet as someone's "original" recipe but I swear I didn't get it from there so don't try to get mad at me for stealing it :)

Key Lime Pie

Ingredients:

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1/2 - 1 cup lemon or lime juice

1 small & 1 large container of cool whip

2 graham cracker pie crusts

food coloring

notice how in my pic there are 3 tubs of cool whip? yeah my wal-mart is ghetto and that's what you get. so I used 3 small containers {just the same!}

Notice the fresh lemons and the store bought lime juice? well, fresh is best {make sure to remove any seeds} and we've always used lemons. i dunno why. maybe it tastes better? you can use any combination of the two...more or less for your specific tartness preference. lol.

mix your juices and milk

you can add your food coloring here, but the cool whip will lighten it up.

so I had to add more later.

{you can make this any color you want to fit your occasion}

add in your cool whip....gently

just lightly fold it in....don't over mix it.

add it to your two pie crusts

refrigerate at least 4 hours {8 hours - overnight works best too!}

enjoy!!!

such a "light" dessert perfect for st. patty's day or any spring/summer event!

I could do it today....but alas, the reason I didn't do it yesterday is worse today

I don't have the energy to think right now.

I am kind of sick.

I'm guessing a sinus-type thing.

no sneezing, no coughing, no runny nose.

just all around yuck!

poor girl just wants to go outside and play....but it's 2 degrees out {but feels like -2!}

i will send her out to shovel the balcony {with her beach toys} that'll keep her busy for a while. lol.

then I have to paint her toenails--since mommy's look so pretty!

We are still in pjs and I have no plans on getting out of them until the man gets home.
