Favorite Bread Recipes

Post #200 y'all!!!
I wish I had a giveaway for you but, alas, you get bread instead :)
I wanted to share a few of my favorite recipes that I've found through Pinterest.
This is my bread edition

Coconut Banana Bread

it's made with coconut milk. 'nough said.
{add some chocolate chips to it, makes it even better!}

Cornbread
This cornbread is so yummy!
It is made in an iron skillet and has just the amount of sweetness to it.
We have eaten the whole pan at one snack-time before and still wanted more. seriously yummy!

Flour Tortillas

We make these all the time. Hubby loves them, Child likes them {she could care less, really.} And Baby like them {when she is actually in the mood to eat something. she's weird lately.}
Because of these I make some sort of fajitas/taco/burrito thingy like at elast once a week.
These will make me fat. I swear. dang carbs and gluten stuff making me feel yucky.
{So, I don't exactly eat them for this reason. trying to cut it out, but that's another topic for another day}

Banana Bread with Almond Orange Glaze
super yummy, made this once and hubs LOVED it, he asked again for it a few times but has stopped, I think he forgot. Hahaha. win.
The glaze makes you want to eat as much of it as you can. de-lish!

6-ingredient Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins
This is a really easy recipe. One of the ingredients is Bisquick. It was a great "lets make this and get rid of the bisquick" recipe. Plus, we didn't have enough flour at the time to make anything from "scratch." But they are YUMMY! Just the right amount of fluffiness, and not dry. Really good.

Coconut Flour Tortillas
So, like I said above, bread makes me fat. No lie. there is instant yucky feeling involved with it. SO Instead of flour tortillas I make these coconut flour tortillas. They are paleo, so grain free! They use egg whites and coconut flour and water. That's it! {Don't use the baking powder as listed optional or it will turn out like a pancake -- so if you want pancakes, just add some vanilla and the baking powder! :)} Try them, they work great if you can't have gluten or want to go paleo. {warning, they are a bit delicate and rip easily}

Coconut Flour Bread
I'm not going to lie, coconut flour makes things a bit dry. I am still trying to find a good coconut flour bread recipe. This isn't super awesome, but it's one of the best I have come by so far. I added more honey to the mix in here just to make it a bit sweeter. It is dry when cold, but heat it up a bit and add nutella and it seriously tastes like yellow cake with chocolate frosting. Great for a grain-free diet!

What are some of your favorite bread recipes {with or without gluten} that other bloggers have posted about?

Planting times

So I was looking up gardening stuff...again.
I keep looking at and forgetting when frost dates are and stuff. So they will be here :)
easy acess, right?
That's how we like it here.

Last Frost Date (2013): 7/6
First Frost Date (2013): 8/16
Average Growing Season: >53 days
USDA Hardiness Zone: 4

I was so sad to see that the last frost date for where I currently live is all the way in JULY!! Kind of wrong on so many levels. I am so impatient! What in the world am I supposed to do until then, or until the 6-8 weeks before that date when I can start my seeds??
I feel like I'm going stir crazy with this garden stuff....let's get started already!!!!

Deep Freeze

So I seriously want to start my garden!
Like I'm sort of angry that I can't start it NOW.
I'm impatient like that, if you didn't know.
There is still like 3 inches {at least} of snow on the ground. I have bought my plot for the season. And am almost ready to start my seeds indoors {I just need some soil, lights, and maybe a heating pad thingy...oh....and seeds! hahaha.} I guess I have some shopping to do.
Dang Rexburg.
It's so cold here.
Ok, it was worse a few weeks ago. Like highs in the teens, maybe. Deep Freeze weather.
The snow fell over a month ago. It has just been that cold that it has taken a while to melt. Weird thing is, I'm colder now than when it was like 9 outside. weird.
I'm planning big things for my garden, BUT I might need to go online to by some seeds. OR, I can't plant them at all. HMmmmm.....Like tomatillo and eggplant. How well would they grow here? If I can't even find seeds for it....yeah.
Besides those, I'm planning on: tomato, jalepenos, peppers, carrots, zucchini, parsnips, spinach, cabbage, summer squash, pole beans, snap peas, basil and turnips.
Sometimes I think i'm crazy.
Too much to handle? Maybe.
It will be good for us to learn somehow. And K will love going out to water things or watch stuff grow. Ry too. If she doesn't eat the soil again. Crazy girl!! She eats the toilet paper too!!
I wish I learned all this gardening stuff earlier in my life. Like when I lived in places that the garden times were a lot longer. Oh well. That's why I'd like to teach the girls now, and build upon it as they get older so maybe they might have some interest when they are older, not learning the hard way like me. Hahaha. Better late than never, right?
That's what it's all about..gardening & life lessons.
That sounds so cheezy.

I think....

Yep, I'm just going to say it.....
I think Katy Perry is pregnant.....

YUP.
Then that means Mr. "I was a jerk" douche bag John Mayer is the baby daddy.
Maybe he really has turned over a new leaf.
Maybe he isn't as womanizing and douche-y as before.
I actually really like Katy Perry. When I fould out they were dating, I didn't think it was the best move, but then again she did marry Russell Brand.
Does what I say matter? Nope. But I want it out there so I can say "I called it!"
Hahaha.
Not really. But really....

{sorry if you are offended by the d-bag term used, that's as profane as I get}
