Our day started out early. Too early for me.
I knew I should've packed up my car the night before to cut off time. But that's okay.
Karson set off the fire alarm at about 1230 am, and it scared the butt outta me! He was saying something about a soccer ball and stuff. it was weird....and kinda funny.
Things got loaded up and we were off to the church to decorate by about 930. It was cold and slightly rainy.
Then, Andrew set off the church's fire alarm!
seriously??
yep!
It was loud and annoying.
The fire department ended up coming and we all got a good laugh.
Miss k kept herself busy by going through ma sani's bag.

Papa Lawrence was our ring leader....
Drew tried to keep me happy through all the stresses and craziness.
yep, there was a bit o that.
But we won't get into it :)

We eventually got most of the work done, and it was already time to get ready for my bridal shower.....which was at 630!!
what???
yes, it really took that long to decorate that cultural hall.....and it wasn't done. *sigh*
I was exhausted by this point.
I just wanted to relax and take a bath, sleep, get a massage, something!
A shower and getting make-up on helped.
alot.
So we headed over to Jaque's housefor a good party with great food!!

Jess, Amber, and Summer looking all beautiful!

My TO-DIE-FOR orange creamsicle cupcake!!!
Jess did an awesome job on these. I love her! I need to get the recipe too, I tried some, and they were good too.
But, hers were better :)

Christina and the adorable Riley were able to make it!

Jess got this really cool bride-to-be sign on Etsy. Love that site! I could drop some major change there if I could. lol

Food....Awesome! notice that they are in flower pots. going along with a garden type theme.

They did an advice board for me....which I didn't get!

Rachel, my maid o honor and I! :)

people eating. lol

I'm just being a dork here! LOL!

beautiful sisters, my mom and aunt betty! love them!

Amber put together this game of 20 questions, 10 about Drew, 10 about me and he answered the questions and I was supposed to get his answers correct. For every wrong answer I had to eat a very large gumball. Eventually, we went to half. LOL.....
but, I didn't get that many wrong. They were just that large. I think I got only 7 wrong. and 2 were Drew's fault, he answered them wrong in the first place! LOL

Then, sister young put together this awesome story with candy. It was hilarious. my basket was FILLED to the brim with all different candies! IT was awesome! I wish I had the time I would post the whole story....I will try, it was way too cute to not share! It was funny, and sweet, and just awesome.....i think i said that. lol.
That candy lasted a whole month! We ate it on our honeymoon, we ate it on our roadtrip, we ate it here in the apartment when we had very little food yet. lol.

My three beautiful girls! They did such an awesome job with everything! I am so glad they were there to help. I am so glad that they did all they did. They are amazing! I love them all!
(pic is from year ago)
So we went to our very first young married ward today. It was tons of fun. There was about 7 other new families in the ward as well. We had a new family meet and greet thing during sunday school, there was lots of laughs. We start out with Relief Society/Preisthood at 9 am. I missed most of RS since I was busy trying to get K set up in nursery.
Poor Girl.
She cried.
But then was distracted by feeding the babies and eventually was ok!!! YAYYY!!!
Bridgette is the nursery leader, super cute and bubbly. BUt....I believe she just got called into the primary. BOoooo!! K actually liked her!! Hope next week goes well....better even! When we picked her up, she was fine.
silly girl. she's such a drama queen. lol.
Our ward is quite large, the largest in the stake, and it is *only* for our apartment complex! WOW!! That's so cool. Only our neighbors go there.
Our building has 8 wards that meet there on Sunday!
WOW!
Amazing....
In our meetinghouse, there is actually 2 chapels! whhhat? crazy! So many people. Everyone married. Some have children. K has 2 other girls with her in nursery Brooklyn (glad I didn't name K that. lol) who is 2 1/2, and Emelia (?) who just turned 18 months today! FUN. they are super cute. There are also a bunch of babies as well, and preggos. lol.
There is a luau on Saturday with a roasted pig, we are super excited for it. We both couldn't wait to go to church, to get ourselves established here. To be involved in our ward. It's so great that basically no matter where we move to we can go to church and it's THE SAME!
Same values, same scripture, same prophet, same lessons, same formats, same priesthood, same relief society, everything. The people are going to be different, and I miss the people in my old wards. But I belong here right now. I belong in this town, with these people. I am so very blessed to be here. So blessed to be married to such a wonderful man! So blessed that he is a worthy priesthood holder. So blessed that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me and my family, so much that He sacrificed His Son for us, so we could have eternal life. This song from the LDS Children's Songbook says it all:
How could the Father tell the world of love and tenderness?
He sent his Son, a newborn babe, with peace and holiness.
How could the Father show the world the pathway we should go?
He sent his Son to walk with men on earth, that we may know.
How could the Father tell the world of sacrifice, of death?
He sent his Son to die for us and rise with living breath.
What does the Father ask of us? What do the scriptures say?
Have faith, have hope, live like his Son, help others on their way.
What does he ask? Live like his Son.
I know that my redeemer LIVES, he truely does live. Just as this song says:
He lives, my kind, wise heav’nly Friend.
He lives and loves me to the end.
He lives, and while he lives, I’ll sing.
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.
He lives and grants me daily breath.
He lives, and I shall conquer death.
He lives my mansion to prepare.
He lives to bring me safely there.
This Easter Sunday I have a better appreciation of the atonement and of the resurrection. I am so thankful for my life and for my many blessings. I love my family and friends and my Heavenly Father SO much.
Our new apartment still isn't all put together, i need to hang pictures, i need to catch up on blogging, i need to finish this load of laundry....
but all i can think about is what i could be sewing!!
i would much rather do that...it's so much more fun and has more thought involved. i think.
I can't go buy fabric, so i need to use my stash. im excited!
My awesome aunt made me some jellyrolls (40 strips of fabric 2.5 x 45 in) and i also have some from my stash. i can't just keep collecting fabrics..
so i must sew!
sweeet!!
i want to make so much stuff!! more camera strap covers, dresses, purses, skirts, and a guitar strap cover (for drew). SO exciting!
here is whats next, using 2 jelly rolls! yay! :)

Just some photos that I found that were taken on A's ipod.....speaking of which.....we can't find that thing. Haven't seen it since right after the wedding.
That can't be good.

This is Craig's photo from the wedding. We are standing with all of my family that came to the temple with us. It was an amazing experience. The day was great.
We are SO blessed!
I will post more photos later. We are busy, busy, busy with packing and doing so much stuff that it will eventually get done :) I promise.
Once I get all the photos together, there will be an amazing post!
