post nap may 11

so after ks nap, we went on a walk. mommy had a bright idea. lets walk to daddy's work and we can come home with him.....it's not too far from the house. but it's a really long walk.

we didn't take the short route either.

lesson learned.

we came across a canal and k wanted to look and throw some rocks in.

that's what we usually do when there are bodies of water around.

on our way we stopped at a park

she didn't get very close to the playground thingy. she kept saying "peoples park" = there are people at the park.

they were big kids and she was a bit timid about trying to go on with these wild kids running around.

she was excited to play with the dog, you can see it in the background.

then we continued on our walk and found a cool path and so we took it.

it lead to a school. k loved to run on the field and chase the birds. She can never catch any!

of course, the school had some playgrounds of their own. with some big slides....which k thought were scary so she stayed away.

she loved this slide....why?? i dunno. seems like a bumpy ride, but whatever girl.

you can't really tell, but from the bottom of the slide to the ground, there is about a foot drop. not so fun for a 2 year old. she fell down, wasn't hurt.

it was funny.

i laughed.

then we found another slide!

we were so excited.....

until mommy said she was going to wait at the bottom just in case k fell down.

she looked at me, said "fall down..."

then she was backing away.

i guess she got scared.

after numerous attempts to leave....which took forever...then back and forth between the two playgrounds at the school, we finally got outta there and back on our walk to the college.

it was fun....next time we will avoid all the parks, if we want a shorter walk.

lots of fun though!

funny k-ism

when i vacuumed the other day k was on her chair hugging her vacuum. at least she wasn't crying this time. silly girl.

today....

me: (groaning) (as i'm searching for an uncapped marker in her bed and the pressure is getting to my head)

k: otay, mommy otay?

me: yes, sweet girl, mommas just sick

k: (she gets a worried look on her face and starts patting her belly) yea, kendall sick too

me: oww!

k: (as she pats me on the back) otay.... otay??

me: yes miss girl, my head just hurts, i have a headache

k: (as she pats her head) yeah, kendall headache too

apparently she has anything anyone else has. especially mommy

Bubbles

April 27...what a gorgeous day!

The sun was out.

there were a few non-threatening clouds in the sky.

It wasn't super cold or windy, like it had been.

So we had some fun outside....

After ks nap we went out on the balcony to play with bubbles!!

for a 2 year old, this is like disneyland.

SO.much.excitement!

she tried to blow the bubbles herself.

then she blew them in her face!

ahhhh i love the joy of electronics and how the bubbles now even blow themselves.

it makes things much easier....and less lightheaded for mommy & daddy :)

it was a good day!

Happy Easter!

I am getting SOOO close to being caught up in the blogging world with my pictures!

I AM SO excited!! :)

So this easter was a little lame.
my bad.
I didn't even know it was easter!
seriously.
with the move and then k's birthday all the week beforehand, it kind of just slipped under our radar. We did get to go to church and had a wonderful time. You can see that post here.

I was able to put together a basket for her. She loved her guitar.

And her new magna doodle type thingy. She mainly draws airplanes and birds. ok.

saying cheeese....notice the dora stickers all over her shirt? those were leftover from her birthday. she put them everywhere.

even all over vws bongos.....whose home is now here(the bongos, not vw.) she loves playing the guitar and the drums now too!! She loves music.

Miss K's 2nd birthday

April 23 was miss ks birthday. 2!! wow. already??

yep!

that morning we woke up and went out to the fields. Daddy had planned a soccer practice type thingy for us and his friends. K has a mini soccer ball of her own and loves to 1. be out side 2. go play soccer 3. run around.

So we had lots of fun. I, course, forgot my camera and can't show you pics. But we were right next to the temple. It was a gorgeous day and we ran around, then walked around all the fields. K wanted to go to the temple, but I had to inform her about being dressed nicely and we weren't. But we would go and walk around there another time.

she was a bit disappointed.

She loves the temple....Always points it out, sometimes claps whenever we get close. She says mommy goes to the temple and daddy goes to the temple (usually now all she says is that daddy is at work or school)

she is trying to sneak a cupcake here...she was so excited!

I made some big and mini cupcakes during her nap.

Orange.

seriously, I've been on this orange cream kick ever since Jess made them for my bridal shower.

So, I tried them out. I used a recipe from here. I thought the icing would look more like the fluffy type....i dunno, maybe I didn't whip my cream enough. I was not happy for a bit that they weren't perfect. but oh well.

i love this picture. She was in such a good mood after her nap.

It was GREAT!

we were worried, because people were coming over for chili dogs and cupcakes and she's alot more fun when she's in a good mood.

funny story....We put on the dress that she is wearing (she got from masani to wear for today) right after she woke up and we did her hair. The first thing she says: dressed pretty. temple?

Yes, she was dressed pretty enough to go to the temple. I hope she always has that desire to go!

After eating we sang Happy Birthday and got to have cupcakes.

They were kept refrigerated, so they were cold....like an creamsicle.

They were pretty dang good.

The frosting wasn't perfect. But they sure tasted yummy!

After we bathed k and she ran around the house like crazy, having fun, trying to play the kinect....but just getting in Lloyds way all the time...it was bedtime! FUN!

So we hung out and played some kinect, then played some loaded questions with the remaining people.
we had a lot of fun.....as you can see from As face! lol!!
