Bubbles

April 27...what a gorgeous day!

The sun was out.

there were a few non-threatening clouds in the sky.

It wasn't super cold or windy, like it had been.

So we had some fun outside....

After ks nap we went out on the balcony to play with bubbles!!

for a 2 year old, this is like disneyland.

SO.much.excitement!

she tried to blow the bubbles herself.

then she blew them in her face!

ahhhh i love the joy of electronics and how the bubbles now even blow themselves.

it makes things much easier....and less lightheaded for mommy & daddy :)

it was a good day!

I am getting SOOO close to being caught up in the blogging world with my pictures!

I AM SO excited!! :)

So this easter was a little lame.
my bad.
I didn't even know it was easter!
seriously.
with the move and then k's birthday all the week beforehand, it kind of just slipped under our radar. We did get to go to church and had a wonderful time. You can see that post here.

I was able to put together a basket for her. She loved her guitar.

And her new magna doodle type thingy. She mainly draws airplanes and birds. ok.

saying cheeese....notice the dora stickers all over her shirt? those were leftover from her birthday. she put them everywhere.

even all over vws bongos.....whose home is now here(the bongos, not vw.) she loves playing the guitar and the drums now too!! She loves music.

Watermelon Smoothies and bountiful baskets!

So we had a ton of watermelon. We LOVE it.

K can eat so much of it. BUt...it still has the possibility of going bad in this house. (i pick the big ones, what can i say;)

So we made some smoothies.

YUMM

We have issues on weather we should make smoothies or milkshakes. I always vote milkshakes, but sometimes the hubs just wants a smoothie. So I just add a scoop of vanilla to the bottom of my glass before adding the smoothie.....more like an icee sometimes. lol

This one is just watermelon, orange juice, and ice....and some sugar. very yummy. very watermeloney. haha.

So the next day, we added some strawberries. not much, but it made it taste FAB.u.LouS!

I'm pretty handy with the blender.

I've learned to add cantaloupe to every smoothie, you can't taste the difference! Its awesome! A good way to use the cantaloupe since k doesn't really eat it and I will only if there is nothing else. But....we got this:

and it has cantaloupe.....it also had: strawberries, blueberries, bananas, jicama (weird, btw), red potatoes, broccoli, cucumber, tomatoes-on the vine, romaine lettuce, and a bag of green beans!! yummy!!! We also got the tortilla add-on (3 pkg of 12 -small corn, small flour, and large flour tortillas) and the 9-grain bread add-on (5 loaves!!! ---sliced!:)

This is a lot of food.

Most of the tortillas are in the freezer (including a 13x9 pan of enchiladas) as are 3 loaves of bread.

We will use it though! Nothing needs to go to waste. lol. Maybe that's why my freezer is FULL. Drew and I only eat so much, so even leftovers get frozen sometimes. But that just makes for a QUICK dinner if we don't have time or ingredients to make something else. It has been fun!!

I even have about 3 lbs of ground beef in separate containers, already cooked and ready to be thawed and thrown into something---a little trick I learned from Jane--THANK YOU! Big lifesaver....timesaver there.

Now all i'm thinking about is food....might have to go use some of my bounty! :)

I am on a limited budget so this is what I decided on. Thanks to my mother, I was able to get a machine faster than I would have normally. THANKS MOM! She helped out a bunch....

now what do I make her??? hmmmmm...

I am beyond excited. I need to finish my plastic bag holder thingy, I need to make myself a camera strap cover. I have a baby quilt that needs a border and backing. I have a dress to finish for miss k and....who knows!!!! I can't wait to get started!

Miss K's 2nd birthday

April 23 was miss ks birthday. 2!! wow. already??

yep!

that morning we woke up and went out to the fields. Daddy had planned a soccer practice type thingy for us and his friends. K has a mini soccer ball of her own and loves to 1. be out side 2. go play soccer 3. run around.

So we had lots of fun. I, course, forgot my camera and can't show you pics. But we were right next to the temple. It was a gorgeous day and we ran around, then walked around all the fields. K wanted to go to the temple, but I had to inform her about being dressed nicely and we weren't. But we would go and walk around there another time.

she was a bit disappointed.

She loves the temple....Always points it out, sometimes claps whenever we get close. She says mommy goes to the temple and daddy goes to the temple (usually now all she says is that daddy is at work or school)

she is trying to sneak a cupcake here...she was so excited!

I made some big and mini cupcakes during her nap.

Orange.

seriously, I've been on this orange cream kick ever since Jess made them for my bridal shower.

So, I tried them out. I used a recipe from here. I thought the icing would look more like the fluffy type....i dunno, maybe I didn't whip my cream enough. I was not happy for a bit that they weren't perfect. but oh well.

i love this picture. She was in such a good mood after her nap.

It was GREAT!

we were worried, because people were coming over for chili dogs and cupcakes and she's alot more fun when she's in a good mood.

funny story....We put on the dress that she is wearing (she got from masani to wear for today) right after she woke up and we did her hair. The first thing she says: dressed pretty. temple?

Yes, she was dressed pretty enough to go to the temple. I hope she always has that desire to go!

After eating we sang Happy Birthday and got to have cupcakes.

They were kept refrigerated, so they were cold....like an creamsicle.

They were pretty dang good.

The frosting wasn't perfect. But they sure tasted yummy!

After we bathed k and she ran around the house like crazy, having fun, trying to play the kinect....but just getting in Lloyds way all the time...it was bedtime! FUN!

So we hung out and played some kinect, then played some loaded questions with the remaining people.
we had a lot of fun.....as you can see from As face! lol!!

Happy Birthday Grandma Jane

Once we got to Amber's house it was nice to just relax and hang out with the family. Miss K was happy to see us. she got all excited and you could tell she missed us.

She was enjoying her time with Grandma, Amber, Jared and CJ though. I am so thankful for Jane and her being willing and able to fly out to provo with K so we didn't have to drive with her.

That next day was Grandma's birthday!! hooray!

We went out for some really good mexcian food. Then we had some ice cream cake!

it was a bit hard to cut into at first.

Miss k kept her eye on exactly which piece she wanted.

she kept saying chocolate, chocolate, then picking off the pieces of chocolate from her piece.

I love how Jane's face is....she is like, man she is a wild child. lol.

If you can see, on the left there behind k was Emily. She is out at BYU and we were so lucky to have her come by for some cake also. I miss her! She is such a sweet, funny, awesome girl and I love her to death!!! I wish we could've hung out more. We were busy. She was about to start finals also and we didn't want to disturb any studying. lol!
