Bearworld

On Saturday, May 28 we decided to take a family trip to bearworld. it's only about a 5-10 min drive south of us.

we were all pretty excited!

so excited that we forgot our home teachers were coming over at 1030. They called at 11 to tell us they were running late (we were at the gate to enter bearworld).....oopsie....we rescheduled for the next day. lol

it's a drive thru wildlife park with elk, black bears, deer, bison, moose, mountain goats, grizzly bears, and gray wolves.

you can see the elk and deer were shedding their winter coats.

they had this rare albino type elk. it was pretty.

one of the bison....this thing was super close to the car, I was scared it would ram us or something....it didn't even move

some bears. they are separated from the other animals....except the wolves.

this bear was scratching it's butt on the tree

he just looks cool.

and i love how this one was sleeping, with it's leg all propped up on the tree.

this is why you keep moving, don't stop and keep your windows up......but these bears (there were actually 4) were like a little mischievous gang. they were on one car and this worker dude got them off there. then they were on his car. it was very funny to see. he must be very comfortable around them.

this is the bear that was reading the paper in his hands, before crumpling it up and trying to eat it.

lol. the man being the great protector that he is.

i love this photo <3

they had some bear cubs on display (about 5 of them) they were super cute!!

he was trying to climb up the waterfall. so adorable. k wanted to go in and play with them.
she speaks in the 3rd person, it's so cute.

i was struggling to get over that tree.

lol, just having fun with the cut-outs

trying to feed the fish, and watching the bears get fed by the tour bus people.

they had some rainbow trout....the man is obsessed.

they had a petting zoo area (price included with admission)
miss k is fearless with animals....she always says "kendall touch"

or she just tries to ride the poor goat.....oops, we told her no though.

this deer was very calm and patient with k.

yes, this goat is lying in the trough (sp?) area.

back to the deer. she was eating grass.

then we got to feed her some.

this goat was so huge. i hope it was preggos.

k loves the birds as well....but she could never touch them. they always run away from her.

the peacock. we saw it with it's tail up and it vibrated....seriously. like a toy or something.
i guess that's part of it's mating dance thing???

more cubs... they are just too cute. they were born in january.

i took this pic to show the man what color ks eyes are....if you look closely (click on the pic) you can see the green in them. If she is in the light, they look even more green.

so this was the coaster that k was so determined to go on.....this pic was after the first little dip. she's trying to figure it out....

then during a dip. lol!! this look is priceless.

then right before the 4th dip. she didn't want to look.

i'm telling her were are all done and she did such a good job.
she really did.
she's a drama queen (she will cry & fake cry at anything.)
she didn't even cry on this one.
but....she won't be going on it again anytime soon. she knows now.

this was the twirly bear thingy.

we spun around alot.

she liked it if we didn't spin too fast. so daddy had to slow us down.
i hated that one. bleh!

she was banging on the door to get on the train.

confused here....

saying "chooo choo" and pulling the string down.

the cars we sat on for about 3 seconds. then i told her it would go up and down a little. she then wanted off. okay.

hahaha....k was so scared when we took this. like the bear was actually eating my head.
as she is looking at this pic, she is saying "mommys hair."

we had tons of fun!
